Hospital billing, auditing and collections

Practical hospital billing training that helps teams submit cleaner claims, prevent avoidable denials, and collect revenue faster

A fifteen-module course built from real hospital billing work, led by Robin Still of Tyler Auditing & Billing Consulting LLC. Denials, appeals, UB-04 and CMS-1500, remittance, compliance and collections, with instructor support throughout.

What the course covers

Denials and appeals, built into the course

Module 6 works through denial categories, how to read the reason code, and how to write an appeal that gets reversed. Model appeal letters are included in the study guide.

Both claim forms, annotated

The UB-04 and the CMS-1500 side by side: which form, which field, and where errors get claims rejected. Practice includes completing both and finding the errors in filled examples.

The full cycle, not fragments

Fifteen modules from registration and eligibility through submission, remittance posting, patient collections, compliance and quality metrics, ending with a capstone account that runs through every stage.

Who teaches it

Robin Still

Over forty years in hospital and physician billing, including supervisory roles in the revenue cycle across hospital and ambulance settings. Associate Degree, University of Cincinnati.

The course is not assembled from textbooks: it is the work, written down by someone who spent a career doing it, which is why the examples are the denials that actually come back and the appeals that actually get paid.

Led by Robin Still. The class will be taught by a team of experts.

Instructor support is part of the course. Robin scopes every group training personally and answers the inquiries on this site.

Robin never made me feel intimidated or overwhelmed. Instead, she guided me step‑by‑step, explained the ‘why’ behind every workflow, and helped me build real confidence in my abilities. Her knowledge of hospital billing, payer rules, and operational processes is unmatched, but what makes her truly exceptional is how she shares that knowledge. She teaches with patience, clarity, and real‑world examples that helped me understand not just how to do the job, but how to do it well. Because of Robin’s mentorship, I became more accurate, more efficient, and more confident in my role. She didn’t just train me — she invested in my growth. Any student or trainee who has the chance to learn from her will gain skills that last a lifetime.

Trained under Robin at UCLA

Robin Still’s online billing course is hands‑down the most comprehensive and practical training I’ve ever taken in healthcare revenue cycle. With over two decades of real hospital and ambulance billing experience, Robin teaches in a way that makes complex concepts feel clear, logical, and achievable. Her background in revenue cycle management, denials, appeals, compliance, and payer requirements shines through in every module. She doesn’t just teach billing — she teaches how the entire revenue cycle works together, why accuracy matters, and how to think like a true revenue cycle professional. The real‑world examples, UB‑04 walkthroughs, denial scenarios, and step‑by‑step appeals guidance helped me understand not just what to do, but why it’s done that way. I left the course feeling confident, capable, and ready to work in any hospital billing department. If you want training from someone who has actually led teams, fixed broken processes, improved collections, and lived this work every day, Robin is the instructor you want. Her expertise is unmatched, and her course is a game‑changer for anyone entering or advancing in healthcare billing.

Who teaches it?

The program is led by Robin Still. The class will be taught by a team of experts, and instructor support is available as you work through the modules.

Is this a coding certification?

No. This is practical hospital billing and collections training. It covers ICD-10, CPT and HCPCS as they are used in billing, but it does not award a coding credential.
