Who this is about

This policy covers Tyler Auditing & Billing Consulting LLC and this website. It describes what the site collects, why, and what happens to it afterwards.

What is collected

If you send a message. Your name, email address, what you said, and, when you are inquiring about group training, your organization and roughly how many people need training. Your IP address is recorded alongside it, which is how repeat automated submissions are blocked.

If you join the email list. Your email address, which form you used, and your IP address.

If you create an account. Your email address, your password in hashed form, what you have bought, and how far through the course you are.

If you buy something. Stripe handles the payment and tells this site that it succeeded, along with the amount and the item. Your card number is never sent to this site and is not stored here.

There is no advertising pixel, no analytics tracker and no third-party chat widget on this site. Nothing you do here is sold to anyone or used to build an advertising profile.

Why it is collected

To reply to you, to give you access to what you paid for, to send receipts and account emails, and to keep the site from being abused by automated submissions. Nothing is collected for any other reason.

Who processes it

These four services handle data on behalf of Tyler Auditing & Billing Consulting LLC:

  • Supabase. Stores your account, your purchases and your progress through the course.
  • Stripe. Takes payment. Card details are entered on Stripe's own checkout and are never seen by, or stored on, this site.
  • Resend. Delivers email: receipts, password resets, and replies to inquiries.
  • Vercel. Hosts the site and keeps short-lived server logs, which include IP addresses.

Each of them stores data on servers in the United States. No one else is given access, and nothing is sold or shared for marketing.

Marketing email

You only receive marketing email if you asked for it, by joining the list or ticking a box. Every one of those emails has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect immediately.

Receipts, password resets and replies to your own inquiry are sent whether or not you are on the list, because they are part of the service rather than marketing.

How long it is kept

Inquiries and email list entries are kept until you ask for them to be removed. Account and purchase records are kept while the account exists, and payment records are kept afterwards for as long as tax and accounting rules require. Server logs are short-lived and are rotated away automatically.

Your choices

You can ask for a copy of what is held about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Deleting an account removes the account and its progress; a payment record that has to be kept for accounting stays, and nothing else does.

Use the contact form. Requests are answered within one business day.

Cookies

This site sets one kind of cookie: the one that keeps you signed in. It is necessary for the site to work and is not used for tracking. There are no advertising or analytics cookies, which is why you are not shown a consent banner.

Changes

If a new service is added that handles your data, this page is updated before it goes live, and the date at the top changes with it.
